The Mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
Toastmasters International is the leading pubic speaking, management and leadership educational organisation based on the principles of Better Thinking, Better Listening, Better Speaking. Toastmasters International offers a self-paced learning programme which can help you to succeed in all aspects of your life..
Country Chatters Toastmasters club is the only approved Toastmasters International club servicing the township of Tara and surrounding areas. Our members get together on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Masonic Hall in Fry Street. Our meetings help us to learn, improve and practice our speaking, management, leadership and meeting skills.
Our Club started as a "club in formation" in April of 2005 and was officially chartered in December 2005.
We are one of many Toastmaster clubs spread throughout Australia and overseas, and one of about 180 clubs in Queensland, Northern Territory and Northern New South Wales. This grouping of clubs in Australia forms District 69.
The Club offers speechcraft courses, youth leadership courses and management and leadership workshops for local groups as well as the opportunity to form Gavel Clubs for the local youth.
If you would like to overcome those butterflies when called upon to speak at a gathering or during a job interview, conduct a formal presentation or simply run a meeting then contact us to find out how Toastmasters can help you. Let us help you to overcome those UMs .... ERs .... AHs.
